Sire: Meet SRSC GRHRCH Ducktowns Simply Silo! The sire (father) is a 70 pound, 4-year-old yellow lab with Red Fox shading. He is an SRS Champion (SRSC title), having placed first and third in Super Retriever Series events in the Spring of 2025. He will compete in the SRS Crown Championship Retriever Trials in October of 2025. Silo is also a Grand Hunter Retriever Champion (GRHRCH), a title awarded by the Hunter Retriever Club (HRC) which is an affiliate of the United Kennel Club (UKC). Silo’s pedigree includes several other dogs with multiple GRHRCH, Master Hunter (MH), SRS Amateur Champion (SRSAC), Field Champion (FC), and Amateur Field Champion (AFC) titles. Four of the six dogs in Silo’s two previous generations are titled. Outside of the field trial and hunt test arena, Silo enjoys duck hunting each year. He is an excellent marker, and is very quiet, steady, and focused on the line. Silo is high drive when running a trial or in a hunting situation, but also has a clear “off” switch. After training or hunting is over, he is very laid back, and just wants to relax as a house dog. Silo’s hips and eyes have been checked and cleared as healthy, and he carries no major genetic markers for disease.
DAM: Meet Hollow Creek’s Black Jetta! She is a 50-pound female black Labrador Retriever. Jetta is a well-trained and highly skilled hunting lab and favorite family pet. She has retrieved over 230 birds including ducks, doves, and geese. She is trained in voice, whistle, and hand commands. She enjoys dove hunting, but duck hunting is her favorite outdoor activity. As a 5-year-old in 2025, Jetta started competing in hunt trials, and promptly received her Started Hunting Retriever (SHR) title. In the fall of 2025, she will compete for her Seasoned Hunting Retriever (HR) title. Jetta’s pedigree includes several other dogs in the previous 2 generations (parents and grandparents) with FC, AFC, MH, and SH titles (4 of 6 dogs titled). In addition, Jetta’s great grandfather was the well-known Five Star General Patton who was awarded FC and AFC titles, and was also the 2003 National Field Champion (NFC). The NFC is awarded once yearly to the dog that wins the US National Amateur Retriever Championship, and is one of the most coveted of all retriever titles.
Jetta is also very good at tracking wounded deer. She loves riding in boats and 4 wheelers. She also enjoys hiking with the family, and has hiked over 75 miles on the Appalachian trail and other mountain trails. She kennels and travels very well. She is very healthy and has had no health issues or injuries while hunting in challenging upland and bottomland terrains. |
