JJ’s stud, was a dog I bought off of the famous Grouse Ridge Kennels as a started dogs who I owned and finished myself. He was your typical grouse ridge dog that was built for running in the grouse woods and had the body type to back it up. Big wide head, wide muscular chest, medium length legs that he use to run thru the grouse woods. Great tail. His parents were Grouse Ridge Jerry who the Flanagans bred quite a bit and produced many nice dogs. JJ’s dam is CH Grouse Ridge Maxima who was a champion herself.
JJ himself has a nice build; longer legs, nice size head, straight tail, moves really nice and really dark in coloring. He is a smaller type of male weighing in the 48lb range. He’s great in the house and learns really quick. Very sweet boy.
He has produced 2 litters so far and both times he has thrown multiple chestnut colored pups. Pups from previous litters are serious bird hunters out west and are overall just nicely built and great temperament.
If you’d like to bring back and add some of the famous grouse ridge setters to your breeding program or maybe just want a to gamble and have a shot at producing some chestnut colored pups than JJ is your man!!!
