Description | |
This girl was bred by Teton bird dogs in Lewisville, Idaho. She has a nice pedigree with some Sharp shooters Man In Black in there. She is a closer hunting dog and is very easy to manage. She is e-collar conditioned and has great recall. She has been introduced to gunfire and has had several birds shot over her, including wild birds. She has a great nose, she has nice intensity on point, and shes a natural retreiver. As far as hunting range, she likes to be in the 30-70 yard range. My only complaint of her is that she acts a little timid when coming out of a crate for the first time each day. If I crowd her crate and ask her to come to me, shell hesitate and urinate a little as she exits. Its only with our initial greeting in the morning and only if Im in her doorway asking her to come to me. Otherwise, she is a confident dog and shows no timidness. She stays primarily outside in a kennel, but she comes inside with supervision for short periods, and she stays in a crate indoors at nighttime during the winter months. She keeps her crate clean through the night. She has been around other dogs and children with no issues. She does get a little nauseous on car rides, so I limit food before road trips. She knows a whoa command, and shell walk at heel when asked. Shell remain steady to the flush, and she loves to retreive. Im finishing up trained retrieve with her to further polish this up. If youre in the market for a closer ranging girl that is ready to start hunting, this might be your girl. Anyone interested is welcome to come meet her, watch her work birds, and interact with her to see if shes a good fit. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I want to see her go to a good home that will hunt her above anything else. Message me here or email me at [email protected]. |
