Anticipating a terrific upcoming quail season, I decided now was a great time to have a litter and get a young dog into birds this fall. Pups will be 5 months old when season starts and 8 months by season end. This is the second litter out of the dam. She had 6 pups, 3 females and 3 males. Her 1st litter 2 years ago produced some solid hunters. My dogs hunt a lot of wild birds from Montana all the way down to the Rio Grande putting in 30 to 40 days afield yearly.
