Deuce is a dynamic bird finder with outstanding game drive and beautiful pointing style. He has a great temperament and is quiet and reserved in the kennel. He has an athletic and snappy stride, with medium to long range and hits the cover with drive and determination. He’s easy to cast and has great check-in with a steady 9 to 3 forward hunting pattern. He’s staunch on point and marks his downed birds well with a swift natural retrieve. He has trained with multiple dogs and handlers and gets along with everybody. He is an outstanding young bird dog and will provide a lucky hunting family with many years of field and family companionship.
Deuce achieved his AKC Junior Hunter Title at 8 months of age on April 27 ,2025, handled by two different junior handlers 14-year-old Anna Shugart and 14-year-old John O’Toole.
He comes from a long line of proven performers and field champions. His sire “Beau” is the son of DC GFC AFC A Trace of Bourbon with Diamonds and GCH DC NGDC FC Turning Points Shenanigans. His Dam is the daughter of DC NAGDC AFC Hurricane Banjo and NAFC DC GFC3 RFC3 AFC Bamajama Willy’s Sassy Sadie. See his pedigree in pictures.
Our Started Gun Dogs are driven to seek and find game, exposed to hundreds of hard flying quail, point staunchly and have been exposed to various field scenarios and hunting situations. They are familiar with the gun, retrieve naturally, e-collar conditioned, whistle trained and socialized with other dogs and handlers. They’re crate conditioned and ready to travel. They are eager to please and ready to hunt!
