Rooster is a 14-month-old male, half German Shorthaired Pointer and half Deutsch Kurzhaar, bred by Bona Kennel in North Judson, Indiana. He’s a larger-framed dog at 72 lbs, athletic, and built for endurance.
Rooster is collar conditioned and obedient on sit, whoa, and heel. He is nearly finished with force fetch and retrieves birds cleanly to hand. He’s had exposure to wild pheasants in South Dakota as well as pen-raised quail, chukars, and pigeons.
Despite only being my possession since July 28 Rooster is coming along quickly and showing natural hunting ability, drive, and focus. He’s a biddable, birdy young dog that just needs continued wild bird exposure to reach his potential.
Rooster lives in-home with other intact males and females and gets along well. He’s ready to continue developing in a hunting or trial home that can give him regular bird work and structure.
I am open about price with the dog he has had an interesting upbringing and will do best in a home with seasoned handlers.
