We are very excited to get the opportunity to work with Mel Lueck and breed to her co-owned male Elhew Thunder N Lightning Lehi. He is a winning horseback dog, exceptional wild bird dog, and a household companion. Lehi is sired by Elhew Hampshire Venerable (son of Elhew Distinction). His dam is Elhew Sea Me Run (daughter of Elhew Sea Man). Elhew Seaman is one of the “Sea Dogs” (all out of Elhew Sea Wolf x Elhew Tomboy) which also included Elhew Sea Coral, and Elhew Sea Captain. Note, Elhew Tomboy was out of 2 National Champions: Elhew Snakefoot x Elhew Ajitator.
Lehi was AFTCA Region 10 Derby of the Year in 2017-2018. He has AKC field trial wins and placements (OLGD), and as he got older and matured, has wins and placements in Open All-Age trials as well. Lehi produced Elhew Sea Master Yoda, who was 2025 AFTCA Region 10 Open Derby of the year as well as Elhew Dark Horse, 2024 Northwest Pointing Dog Association and Northwest Field Trial Council’s Horseback Juvenile Dog of the Year! Lehi is a well-built, biddable and easy to manage dog that runs AKC and American Field trials, and most importantly is a wild bird dog residing in Oregon.
Lacy is a daughter of Elhew Fibber McGee, and her dam is a daughter of Flashpan. Anyone I have spoken to about Flashpan that saw him have all said that he should have been bred to more! Lacy has an exceptional temperament and was originally a brood matron at Hackberry Kennels where she was previous bred to Hackberry’s Elhew Chief. Puppies from those litters, per Brian Kennedy, are naturals and he enjoys training them. Lacy will be a pheasant dog for us, along with her sister Roxy and we hope to produce exceptional, well-rounded and biddable pointers for bird hunters and their families to enjoy. |
