Fox Red Labrador Retriever Puppies — Ruby × Cooper
We’re proud to offer this carefully planned Ruby × Cooper litter, combining accomplished American field bloodlines with distinguished British and European working Labrador genetics.
This litter consists of 9 fox red Labrador puppies and is AKC registered. Puppies are expected to be ready for their new homes around November 7th, 2026.
Ruby represents the American side of this pairing, carrying a strong field pedigree with accomplished retrievers including NAFC FC AFC Paddle Creek’s Pack Your Grip, NAFC FC AFC Cody Cut A Lean Grade, FC AFC Code Blue, NAFC FC Trumarc’s Zip Code, and 2x NAFC FC CFC Ebonstar Lean Mac. She is an energetic, intelligent Labrador with strong hunting drive and an affectionate temperament at home.
Cooper brings an impressive concentration of British and European working Labrador bloodlines.
His sire is FTCh Mitforton Oscar of Leadburn, bred and campaigned through Leadburn Gundogs in Scotland. Oscar earned his Field Trial Champion title after winning a Two-Day Open Stake in Scotland in 2019. Leadburn describes him as an excellent game finder with a friendly temperament, and published records list him as clear for PRA, CNM, EIC and SD2 with an elbow score of 0.
Oscar himself is by FTCh Gosberry Governor out of Bedgebrook Scrumptious. His pedigree contains a substantial concentration of British Field Trial Champions, including FTCh Greenbriar Viper of Drakeshead, FTCh Eastdale Harry, FTCh Lafayette Tolley, and FTCh Tasco Rouble of Bedgebrook.
Cooper’s dam is Fendawood Bloodymary, an Austrian-imported Labrador from established European working stock. Bloodymary is by International FTCh Ragweed’s Travel of Craighorn and out of Ragweed’s Maize. Her pedigree continues through notable working dogs including FTCh Craighorn Bracken, FTCh Millcottage Pathfinder, Ragweed’s Joplin, and Ragweed’s Rocket.
Bloodymary has also produced accomplished working offspring. Records show offspring including FTCh Ragweeds Chandler and FTCh Ragweeds Cromwell, both by FTCh Denbank Khaki. Working Labrador breeders have described Bloodymary as a highly driven fox red working bitch, and her descendants remain represented in working pedigrees internationally.
The purpose behind the Ruby × Cooper breeding was to bring together American retriever field genetics with established British and European working lines while preserving the distinctive fox red shade of yellow Labrador.
These puppies may be well suited for buyers interested in hunting, retriever training, working homes, active companions, or families simply looking for a Labrador from a pedigree built around generations of working dogs.
