Rue is available for stud.

He is out of the breeding between my multiple dog of the year and trial winning stud dog Maximum Resistance and the dam is out of my line that goes back to northwoods stock.

He is an athletic long legged dog that is extremely classy dog when running and on point. He holds his tail high. He like to run but handles with ease. Rue is very very, easy to work and a fast learner. His personality is very easy going and calm when not in the field.

He has puppy and derby trial placements. He placed 1st in a derby trial at only 8 months old with 5 broke finds.

This is a dog you want their blood in your kennel. He’s got all the right tools. Combining both horseback and coverdog bloodlines.

Toby is sire by my multiple trial winning stud dog Maximum Resistance and a trial winning dam owned by Thor Kaine from PA. The dam is from a frozen semen breeding of 5x CH Pennstar and the dam being 3X CH/7X RU Straight Forward. Both dogs have incredible titles that speak for themselves!
He is the littermate to USCSDA Amateur Puppy of the Year Back Creek Susie.

Toby is a heavily spotted colored dog with a big head, has stout, solid build and big boned dog with a full black colored head.

He is will be 3 years old this spring.
He was run in several puppy trials but no placements. He handles easily and checks back often.
He hunts hard and is very prey driven.
He will point and hold quail usually til you get close enough to flush. He is gun conditioned and backs other dogs.

He has a calm demeanor and easy going temperament. He is house trained and currently living in the house.
Would make a great companion, hunting dog and maybe possible trial dog with some work.

Max is a 55-60lb male that runs as fancy and classy as you can get, with a 11-12 oclock snappy tail. He has a long muscular body frame and tall legs. He carries his body really well when moving in the field. Points with spectacular style.

He has derby and shooting dog trial wins in both amateur and open walking stakes. He is good enough to be a horseback dog but I just dont do that venue right now.
He has turned heads of anyone who watches him and hes been knocking at the door of a championship win for awhile now so should be anytime. He was RU Open Shooting Dog of the Year in the US Complete Open Shooting Dog Association for the 2020-2021 season.

Hes been bred several time and produces quality pups that have great potential. They are Fancy, good body confirmation, high classy tails. They also have trial wins on them already. Learn quick and easy to work with. One of his 7 month old females I have broke herself out on woodcock. She was pointing and backing my older dogs by herself at 4 months old.

His pedigree is loaded with alot of big trial names in the grouse woods and has the trial wins to prove it.
His sire is a RU CH.
He has a older sibling Phillips Spitting Image who I own who has won a ton of trials from SC to MI, from walking to horseback stakes. She was a 6x Dog of the Year in different regions as a derby! His littermate sister, Teen Spirit has been winning quite a few derby trials this season.

He is broke on his birds, backs, handles with little effort and adjust range depending on cover and terrain. He has been run off foot, atv and horse. He can run as big as you let him but settles in around 2-300 yards. He has been run on pheasant, quail, woodcock and ruffed grouse. He runs with an extremely busy and classy tail and is light on his feet when moving especially in the woods. He points with a nice tail.
He has a open derby trial win which makes him qualified for most Open Championships now.

He is very easy going in the field and in the house. Doesnt need a heavy hand during training and is eager to please.

Moose is a good size 55-60 lbs male that carries his weight well when he moves. Very muscular dog. Hes all white with black ticking. Great pointing style, runs nice.

I bred his brother and the pups are just smoking pointing wild birds at 10 weeks old, backing and holding until you flush. And moose is even better than his brother I bred! I can send photos of the pups if anyones interested.
Mooses sister has placed in the US Complete Futurity, a Open Derby Classic, and has several other walking, coverdog and horseback trial placements.

He would make a great addition to anyones kennel and program bringing a smooth fancy running style, a pin point nose and talent.

I’m offering JJ available for stud.

JJ’s stud, was a dog I bought off of the famous Grouse Ridge Kennels as a started dogs who I owned and finished myself. He was your typical grouse ridge dog that was built for running in the grouse woods and had the body type to back it up. Big wide head, wide muscular chest, medium length legs that he use to run thru the grouse woods. Great tail. His parents were Grouse Ridge Jerry who the Flanagans bred quite a bit and produced many nice dogs. JJ’s dam is CH Grouse Ridge Maxima who was a champion herself.

JJ himself has a nice build; longer legs, nice size head, straight tail, moves really nice and really dark in coloring. He is a smaller type of male weighing in the 48lb range. He’s great in the house and learns really quick. Very sweet boy.

He has produced 2 litters so far and both times he has thrown multiple chestnut colored pups. Pups from previous litters are serious bird hunters out west and are overall just nicely built and great temperament.

Lucky is out of one of the best horseback trial dogs CH Erin’s Hidden Shamrock and the dam is out of 2 horseback champion dogs CH Hytest Skyhawk and CH Barkers Blue Horizon.

Lily was the only female ever produced out of one of the best grouse dog breedings ever done between 3x RU Long Gone Studley and my female 1xCH/8xRU Phillips Half Moon.

Lucky is a plantation dog and has produced stylish and winning pups from his previous litters.
Lily has both walking and coverdog field trial wins. She runs nice, snappy and fast, handles with easy and points with a high head and tail. She’s been hunted on grouse, woodcock, pheasant, quail and chukars.

Meg is a beautiful tri colored chestnut female that is sired by All-Age horseback trial winner 3xCH/7x RU Erin’s Hidden Shamrock. He’s won many trials mostly handled by amateur owner Sean Derring. He qualified for the National Championship at Ames one time which is a huge accomplishment in itself. He has produced some incredible dogs and doesn’t need much more intro than that.

Babe is a solid bodied dog with a deep chest and is short coupled when running. She points with a high tail. She has only been run a handful of times. Right now she hunts close and a little unsure what she should be looking for or doing but with more confidence and learning how to hunt and find birds she should run bigger.

She is 2 years old.

She lives in the house and is house broke. She has a calm slightly independent temperament as she likes to be outside in the yard and playing with her littermates.

Clay is a long leggy male with a long body. He runs with a smooth gait and high tail. Very classy dog on the ground when hunting. He is a very gamey dog with a lot of prey drive. He is on the more sensitive side when he is learning something new so is best to go with someone who has the time and patience to put into him.

He lives in the house and is house broken. Very calm mellow dog.

He is best suited as a gundog, house dog or possible trial dog with work.

"Tank" is a gorgeous solid built dog with a large square blocky head and body. He has the classic grouse dog look. He has been run a few times and handles close but should run more as he gains confidence and learns the game. Been exposed to a few quail and pigeons and gunfire but still needs more work. He has a lot of prey drive.

He is a very good dog in the house and is housebroke. Not a chewer or a dog that looks for trouble. He rarely barks also. Gets along with other dogs and loves cats. He is basically like a lab with setter markings.

His littermate brother just placed 1st in a amateur derby stake in March at 1 year old with 5 finds in 30 minutes.

Would make a great gundog, house/family dog and potentially a weekend trial dog.

He is a proven trial winner and serious wild bird dog that gets hunted hard on Grouse and woodcock with liberated quail and pheasants also. He's also produced some nice dogs and trial winners in the coverdog trials.

The dam is my 6x RU Phillips Half Moon (Remi). She is a very special kind of dog and people usually know about her before they even know about me. She has multiple derby and shooting dog wins from both open and amateur stakes. She won her championships in the coverdog woods as well as in walking trials. She also have run in horseback championships but hasn't got any placement in them yet even though she does great. She's won trials with around 6 different handlers from NH to MI to SC. She is a once in a lifetime type of dog.

Ace is a nice classy dog that runs with quickness and drive. His tail is usually high and cracking when running and on point me but could possibly curl it a bit here and there.

He runs a big race but handles with ease every time. He points and is mostly steady to wing and shot until released on his birds but does need more work.

He needs a owner who will give him one on one training as he needs a light hand and patience, he can't be rushed when learning. He's been run on quail, chukar, pheasant, Grouse and woodcock.

He is in his derby season now so there's still time to get him and possibly run him in the spring trials.

He's a really mellow dog that's great in the house and needs a family that can give him the love he deserves. Good with other dogs. Loves to carry toys around.

Duke is a nice classy dog that runs with quickness, drive and light on his feet. His tail is always high when running and on point.
He handles with ease and has never needed a e-collar to get him to listen or handle. He points and is was trained steady to wing and shot until released on his birds but havent had him out to reinforce it but he learns quick and wouldnt take much work. I could also do it if someone wanted. He will back other dogs too. Hes been run on quail and woodcock. He was pointing woodcock and quail at 6 months old and holding them til flushed.

The sire 2x CH/4x RU Erin's Hidden Shamrock doesn't really need any introduction himself. He's one of the top and hottest English setter studs in the country competing today. He's not only a good trial winner but also a great producer.

Phillips Spitting Image (Dot) is out of the the successful breeding of RU Northwoods Nirvana to my female Phillips Morning Star. All pups out of that litter were fantastic and had everything the needed to be winners or producers. Dot was for sure the best! We are excited to offer the REbreeding of Northwoods Nirvana to my female Phillips Morning Star.

Nirvana is a big bodies solid dog that runs with class and a high tail. He has a RU CH in a horseback stake.
Star is also a big bodied dog, short coupled, short tailed and runs with tons of drive. He is as heat tolerant as any dog we have. She will run for 3 hours in 80 degrees if I'd let her!

The first breeding of these two was done by AI back in 2015. The breeding produced 8 pups. We held on to most of them to see how they developed and let's just say we were so impressed we wanted to do it again!

One of the females I kept, Phillips Spitting Image (Dot) won a ton her derby season earning 12 placements in trials including wins in the 2017 US Complete Futurity,

The sire is a young really promising dog that is out of 3x RU CH Long gone studley and my female 5x RU CH Phillips Half moon. Both have placed on wild birds in the grouse woods and are hunted during the season. Half moon has been with Dave Hughes for pretty much every trial season. She's placed in 75 dog trials on grouse. The sire has 2 trial placements and is with a pro now getting ready for the fall season. He hunts hard, easy to handle, classy on the ground and loves to please. He also is a great retriever. I have high hopes for him in the future.

The dam is out of my multiple trial winning male who is out of shadow oak bo and is Littermates to several other trial winners. He is a real nice dog who has it all! The dams mom is out of berg bros jack. She is a specatular dog that's got it all as well. I never trailed her but if I did she would of won. 
The dam herself has multiple trial placements and has a cannon of a nose. Runs with speed, tons of style and very easy on her feet.

I expect theses to be nice pups with great noses that can handle all species of birds suited for both the field Trialer and hunter. Both parents are great house dogs as well.

From what I've seen so far they have the body, size, tail and class you want to see at only 4 weeks old. These should be real nice ones.

The sire is my dog, Phillips Blackjack. He is out of the successful cross of Grouse Ridge Jerry and CH Grouse Ridge Maxima. He is the older brother of CH Grouse Ridge Luckee. His bloodline is filled with many trial winners and you can tell as soon as you see him run.
Hes a solid well built 60 lb dog made up of all muscle and bone. He hits the ground running and is very fancy going especially for such a big dog. When he finds a bird he will literally slam on his brakes. He is a easy dog to work with and handles easily. Very smart and wants to please. He has been hunted on all types of gamebirds including grouse, woodcock, quail, pheasant, chukar and Hungarian partridge just to name a few. He adapts his range based on the terrain and will cover it all if you let him.

This male pup is around 4-5 months old. He is a very smart pup that wants to please. He know how to find and point birds, back and has been shot over with a blank pistol. Have been worked in the fields and woods and goes with you. He is build really nice and proportionate. He will be a smaller frame male.

Aggressive and dominate. Slightly stubborn. Very smart. This is the one I was going to keep but have now decided to let her go to make some room. She has been introduced to birds. She will be a good choice for the serious hunter or possible field trailer.

I have a litter of pups that was born on 8/11/16 out of my own hunting/trial dogs, Phillips Bullseye and Phillips Black Powder.

Bullseye is out of a breeding I did from Northwoods Nirvana and my female Phillips Morning Star (shes out of Jerry Kolters Northwoods dogs Blue Shaquille X Synders Liz). Phillips Black Powder is out of CH Berg Bro setters Jack X Berg Bros Blue Gem.

Bullseye- 1 yr old male, pretty much a even mask head. Out of Northwoods Nirvana and Star. Greats along well with other dogs and loves to play. Listens well. Best suited for a single or 2 dog home. Needs attention. Will bond very well to new owner. Started on birds but needs work. Carries his tail even with back when on point.

Misty- 4 year old all black faced setter female. She is out of Berg Bros Roy Rogers and Berg Bros Sidney. She loves to run and can all day long. Takes the heat very well. Knows how to find birds but would need more work if you wanted to get her prepped for the fall. She does curl her tail. Very sweet and loving dog. Gets along with other dogs. Not spayed but should be and will be a condition of sale. She needs to have a fenced in area that she can just run all day in and be a house dog at night.

Jax is a 60 lbs strong and built dog that runs nice and fancy for such a big dog. Great pointing style and slams his birds. Backs on site and is steady to wing & shot. Been hunted all over the east coast from NH to NC on all types of gamebirds.

His pedigree is The Whos who of the trial world. His mother is the great grouse ridge maxima and brother is CH grouse ridge Luckee. He is the half brother of CH Teharrs Elvis.
