PREACHER’S GUN DOGS

Pups are available from our Rain × Barrett breeding. Both parents are my personal wild bird dogs and have hunted multiple upland species across several states.

Rain and Barrett are hard-hunting dogs that excel on the prairie/high desert with the range to cover country while remaining versatile and useful in different terrain. Both possess immense natural drive, strong natural retrieve, and impressive natural honoring ability. These are dogs I hunt behind myself and qualities I wanted to reproduce in this pairing.

I’m extremely excited about what this litter has the potential to produce—enough so that I’ll be keeping a couple of pups myself.

Ivy is a sweet little hunting dog looking for her next best friend!

Ivy is a year old AKC German Shorthair Pointer out of rfp kennels in Minnesota. She comes from sharpshooter lines as well as willow creek which are very respectable kennels.

Ivy has been started which means she points, has been gun broke, and she retrieve is excellent to hand but has not been force broke

She is around 50 pounds and ranges nice (200-300 yards)

Ivy is a very loving dog and easy to have around. I do not mind holding on to her until I find the perfect home.

Kenai is available to a hunting home!

He is a year old AKC lab with lots of experience for his age. Kenai has been working with me this past season at an Orvis/Beretta endorsed wingshooting lodge in eastern Oregon.

Kenai quarters nice, is place trained, retrieves to hand, gets along well with other dogs and kids.

He has experienced chukar, huns, valley quail, bobwhite quail, and ducks.

Kenai hunts very methodical, with a very strong nose, and weighs in at 60 pounds.

Miller is ready for her new hunting partner.

This pup has been started on upland birds such as Chukar, Hungarian Partridge, Pheasant, Valley quail, and Bobwhite Quail.

Miller is quick and snappy, hits the cover hard and works in perfect shooting range! This dog has so much drive, never stops working.

She is about 45-50 pounds, super lovey, gets along with our kids and other dogs well.

Alder is ready for his future hunting partner!

For a year old, this dog has been able to experience a lot. He has hunted wild birds in Montana and Oregon. Alder has been a lead dog for me this season at the Highland Hills Ranch, an Orvis/Beretta wing-shooting lodge. This dog has been on Sharp-tail Grouse, Hungarian Partridge, Chukar, Bobwhite quail, Valley Quail, Pheasants, Ruffed Grouse, and Ducks.

Steady to Point, Steady to Honor, Steady to the flush, broke for a flusher, retrieves and retrieves from water.

Alder is a versatile bred GSP out of RFP Pointers in Minnesota. His pedigree is proven (Heavy Sharp Shooter Lines). This dog has been one of the easiest dogs to train, so much natural ability.

Alder is a short to mid range hunting dog, very easy to handle. He can range out in open country (200-300). As well as reel it in with hunting the thick cover.

Alder is a very easy going boy, gets along with everyone, and is good around the little kiddos. Very chill when he comes inside from time to time but not completely house broke.

Future flushers dreaming of active and loving homes. This year I decided to breed my two guide dogs Bandy and Jett. Both dogs have proved to be strong flushers with a natural retrieve. Jett and Bandy have spent the past three seasons with me working an Orvis/Beretta endorsed wingshooting lodge.

These dogs are not only skilled athletes but also look great and have produced some great looking pups that are Black, Tan, and White, as well as Liver, Tan and white.
