HRCH King Reno and SHR Troy Weigel’s Koko are a proven pairing of two talented, health-tested hunting dogs with tons of drive, natural ability, and excellent temperaments. Reno is an 85-pound male who has been proven in the field and hunt tests, bringing a strong work ethic, natural hunting ability, and plenty of drive. Koko is a 75-pound female with a proven hunting background, strong drive, and the same desire to work and please. Both Reno and Koko have OFA Excellent hips, Normal elbows, and Normal eyes, along with genetic testing completed. Beyond their performance in the field, both dogs are excellent house dogs with great temperaments and the ability to settle in and be wonderful family companions. This cross brings together proven hunting ability, health, genetics, drive, trainability, and temperament, with the goal of producing hard-working, biddable hunting dogs that can excel in the field while also being outstanding dogs in the home.
Puppies expected Christmas Morning from two outstanding retrievers HRCH UH Mellorcove’s I’m Your Huckleberry (“Huck”) and HR Koko, my versatile, high-drive, yet family-friendly female.
Koko is the total package, the kind of dog you can take from the duck blind to the living room couch without missing a beat. Around town, she’s known for her contagious personality and friendly nature, but in the field, she flips the switch into a focused, hard-charging retriever with rock-solid obedience and incredible marking ability. She’s dual registered (AKC & UKC), OFA hips are excellent, elbows normal, and currently training toward therapy dog certification, proving her steadiness, intelligence, and trainability.
Huck, the sire, needs no introduction to serious retriever enthusiasts — a HRCH UH (Hunting Retriever Champion, Upland Hunter) with a proven track record in both hunt tests and real-world waterfowl and upland hunts. He brings unmatched drive, precision, and a calm off-switch, making him the perfect complement to Koko’s versatility and temperament.
Together, this pairing combines elite hunting bloodlines with family-friendly temperaments, ensuring pups that can perform in the blind, trial field, or your home.
