OLDSQUAW KENNELS HAS BEEN A BREEDER OF QUALITY LABRADOR RETRIEVERS since 1969.
All of our bitches are field champion sired and most are successful competitors in derby, qualifying and all-age stakes. The males we breed to are Americas finest competitors, best producers, and are genetically healthy.
Our pups possess a strong desire to retrieve and a superior intelligence that makes them easy to train. Most importantly, our pups have a pleasing personality that make them wonderful companions, whether sitting in a duck blind or laying on the couch.
All of our breedings are from generation after generation of healthy dogs with hip and elbow (OFA), eye (CERF),exercise induced collapse (EIC) and myopathy (CNM) clearances. Pups come with hip and eye guarantees for 26 months.
BLACKIE qualified all-age at 26 months of age and is a smart, laid back and affectionate dog. He throws NICE puppies.
RIVER is our calmest and most affectionate female and is a super MOM.

Rocky is a nice young male. Started on retrieving and intro to field work!

For more than 30 years our dogs have been famous for being natural easy to train Versatile Field Dogs that remain calm loving Family Companions in and around the house. More than 95% of the pups we place today live indoors as a loyal member of their human family.

From the pure Wasserschling, Wildburg and Greif lines of the past we have meticulously built the famous Westwind Genepool of today. Our well proven breeding program allows us to unconditionally guarantee our pups for the life of your dog!

The *Q* Litter (with multiple crosses to DC Hillhaven Hustler the  #1  producer in the history of the breed) has 7 really nice pups - 4 males and 3 females.

These pups are down from the old Hustler x Wendy cross that produced so many great dogs - the dogs that are behind most of the great AKC Hunt Test and NAVHDA dogs out there now. Dogs that are famous for having the switch.

If you missed the chance to have a Hustler X Wendy dog this is your chance to own a great German Shorthair the way they were bred in the past. It is impossible to get this close to the foundation dogs anywhere else.

If you are not yet familiar with our dogs we invite you to spend some time on our website at:

www.WestwindGSPs.com

We breed strictly for shoe leather bird dogs that are real GSPs the way they were meant to be. AKC Hunt Test and NAVHDA type dogs. Shorthairs that look like real shorthairs. No horseback field trial trash here.

Westwind GSPs are Serious Bird Dogs For Serious Bird Hunters.

Are you a foot hunter looking for that special pup? If so ...

Feel free to give us a call.

Update: ALL 2025 trained Gundogs are SOLD. PLEASE see the new “EDMONDS XTREME GUN DOGS 2026 LINE UP FOR MY 2026 DOGS THAT ARE AVAILABLE.

First of all I want to thank all my clients from 2024 that have purchased fabulous gun dogs from Edmonds Xtreme Gun Dogs. We have placed 10 gun dogs in new Hunting homes all across the United States this year. Thanks for your business.

Edmonds Xtreme Gun Dogs is proud to present the starting line up of 2025/2026 Gun Dogs that will complete my Advanced Gun Dog Program. Each will come with 26 month hip and eye guarantee.

Each will start off at 8 weeks old in my Puppy Headstart program. All will have completed full obedience training program (Sit, Stay, Heel, Here, Kennel), collar conditioned, Hold conditioning, Force Fetch, Crate trained and 100% Steady to Shot in the field. They will be trained on hand signals, whistle stops land/water, and blind retrieves up to 200 yards. They will be trained on an open dog stand and a covered MOMARSH kennel. Will load up in UTV and exposed to riding in a boat. Some folks may say that there is no way for a dog this young to have this level of training and all I can respectfully say is come see. If you would like to put down a deposit on any of these dogs to lock down as your next hunting companion, Please contact me for more pictures and videos. I sell 10 plus dogs a year all over the United State and they go pretty fast so don’t wait too long to pull the trigger. Some of my dogs have deposits on them before they are even born and others by the time they are 4-5 months old with a future pickup date once training is completed. I have many references on GUN Dogs I have trained and sold and would be happy to provide those to anyone interested. Have a Blessed Day! Scroll down for more info on each dog in my 2025/2026 lineup.

Below is my complete list of what is coming for 2025/2026. My goal each year is to find top pedigree gun dog puppies to train with Sire and Dam having all Health Clearances. I look forward to training one just for you! Call with any questions or to receive photos or videos.
