For more than 30 years our dogs have been famous for being natural easy to train Versatile Field Dogs that remain calm loving Family Companions in and around the house. More than 95% of the pups we place today live indoors as a loyal member of their human family.
From the pure Wasserschling, Wildburg and Greif lines of the past we have meticulously built the famous Westwind Genepool of today. Our well proven breeding program allows us to unconditionally guarantee our pups for the life of your dog!
The *L* Litter (with multiple crosses to DC Hillhaven Hustler the #1 producer in the history of the breed) gave us 5 exceptional pups - 2 males and 3 females. This litter is a repeat breeding. People who were lucky enough to get pups out of the first breeding rave about them.
This breeding was 4 years in the making. Both the sire and the dame are out of dogs that came from semen we froze in the 1990s. This is the old Hustler x Wendy cross that produced so many great dogs - the dogs that are behind most of the great AKC Hunt Test and NAVHDA dogs out there now.
If you missed the chance to have a Hustler X Wendy dog this is your chance to own a great German Shorthair the way they were bred in the past. It is impossible to get this close to the foundation dogs anywhere else.
If you are not yet familiar with our dogs we invite you to spend some time on our website at:

We breed strictly for shoe leather bird dogs that are real GSPs the way they were meant to be. AKC Hunt Test and NAVHDA type dogs. Shorthairs that look like real shorthairs. No horseback field trial trash here.
Westwind GSPs are Serious Bird Dogs For Serious Bird Hunters.

0 0 0 0 0DNA Health Tested and OFA Certified. Good elbows and hips. Dash is named after his Grand Sire, 27XCH Rucks Brockway Mad Dash and is also the direct Grandson of Sharp Shooter’s Man in Black, the most famous Black Roan Gsp in history. He has a pedigree full of Master Hunters and Champions, VC and NSTRA
Better than all that, is the fact that he himself is a proven hound. He’s an absolute joy around the house and a bird finding, bird retrieving machine in the field. He’s great with other dogs and kids of all ages, Dash is a fan favorite. Of all the dogs I’ve owned, I get the most compliments ol’ Dash. He was easy as they come to train and has produced intelligent, biddable pups excelling in the field and stealing hearts all across the fruited plain. Located in Bainbridge Ga. Overnight shipping of semen straws available from my vet to yours for fast and easy A.I. across the US. Licensed breeder with Ga dept of Ag and trainer. In the field since 2003. Don’t call if you don’t like talking dogs!

The J Litter (with multiple crosses to DC Hillhaven Hustler the #1 producer in the history of the breed) produced 7 really nice pups - 6 of which are female. These girls will be biddable easy to train pups that make great personal bird dogs like Hustler was so famous for throwing.
