Bandit, a fully-finished male English pointer 1.5 years old formally trained by Ronnie Smith Kennels. Bandit did an intensive formal 3 month bird dog training program at Smith Kennels in Oklahoma. For those of you not familiar with this training program. The Smith family as whole is recognized as one of the top or the TOP bird dog training family in the country. You might have heard about Bird Dog Hall of Fame Delmar Smith.
Bandit has an EXCELLENT PEDIGREE. Out of Elhew Rock Acre Blackhawk and Snakefoot. His daddy is 2XCh Elhew Sinbad.
Bandit is just a little over a year old and is steady to wing and can be stopped on command with or without birds. he has hunted wild birds in Montana and also been to Kansas this past year. His young blood, knowledge, and experience at this early age will give you a valuable investment for years of bird hunting. Will is a passionate, calm, committed breeder, dog trainer and outfitter who knows what it takes to breed, train and hunt.
I have hunted over 60 days a year for 30 years. I currently have: 3 English Pointers, 2 English Setters and after hunting with Will, I bought 1 of his cockers as a puppy. I fell in love with her, so much so that 8 months latter I paid 3X for her brother.
I’ve had more fun and shot more birds with these 2 cockers in a season than with all the pointers. Last year I hunted 82 days straight, just with the cockers.
If you like walking, shooting and birds delivered to your hand as you walk and shoot, these dogs are it!!! They also stop when you stop (it’s amazing) and are so easy to handle! I could go on and on.
And as far as English Pointers go, my favorites are out of anything Delmar Smith Family and Elhew.
We recently had the privilege of adding one of Will Cowans dogs to our family. It was the right time for a hunting dog and we contemplated training a puppy or acquiring a finished dog. I can say without a doubt this was the best decision weve made. Not only did we get an exceptionally well trained hunting companion, Judge became an instant member of our family! Wills guidance and expertise has been phenomenal. Will truly cares about his dogs and the environment he places them in. This is evident in his training style, the demeanor and temperament of the dogs and his continued follow-up.
