Fun Upland / Retriever Hunt Test at Pine Hill Kennel and Sportsmens Club in Rockford, MI
Developed with less stringent requirements than other Registries, and with the gundog in mind, our hunt tests are an excellent way to recognize issues in the field and adjust your training to overcome those issues. It is our hope at GLSDA to be a foundation or learning avenue for those that wish to enter a more 'professional' competition arena, or to develop a hunting companion to be proud of.
Competitive Events held by Great Lakes Sport Dog Assn. are done so in a family oriented, fun and relaxed atmosphere where Competitions are to a Standard, not between Other Canines. With three levels of competition; Novice - Intermediate - Finished, all levels of Training and Handling are judged and awards are given to those that accomplish the requirements.
All activities held by the GLSDA are held as events for the purpose of camaraderie between owners, and the enjoyment the Canine/Owner relationship as well as fun in the field or marsh.
