Event Description

Have a birddog that needs training or a refresher? Jim Pierce, a member of Mid-South Quail Forever, has been training hunting dogs for many years. He will lead the training course and teach you how to work with your dog or pup to get the best results when hunting. Pups/dogs from 12 weeks accepted.
Training Techniques will include: Introduction to birds (sight/scent), simulation of gunfire (blank pistol/primer), bird on pole (Wonder Lead or Buddy Stick), bird in launcher (quail or pigeon) and heeling. General requests by chapter members, time permitting.

TIME: SIGN IN 7:30 - 8:00
TRAINING - 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Depending on attendance, there may be a morning and afternoon session

COST: $35 per dog/pup + $7.00 per bird
LUNCH: INCLUDED
MUST PRE-REGISTER BY NOVEMBER 17
