Speck is bred to the gills with a impeccable pedigree. He is a mid size dog (39LB), dont need to convince this dog to hunt, he works in medium ranged with lots of class and only has one thing on his mind....to find birds. He is very easy to handle, go with you, shows good report, always know where you are and works for any body. He could make a very competitive walking trial dog.
Speck is very intense and stylish point, he is broke steady to wing, back/honor like he is on point with a good natural retrieve, also loves the water. We spend 2 summers developing him on the ND prairie, pointed his first grouse at 6mo of age, we also quail hunted in TX & NM this winter(2025). He is obsessed with wild birds and works hard for the gun in any condition.
We bred and developed this dog from day one, he has no vice, not a mean bone in his body, gets along with any dog, male or female. He is clean in the kennel and house friendly.
