OK Im sad to announce I will be moving my male Brittany spaniel to a new home. So he is up for discussion. Skeeter is a water seeking dog. He loves the water. So even though I have never duck hunted with him. I know he will do it. He has retrieved several upland birds in the water for me. Skeeter was an upland guide dog last year In Minnesota. I purchased him after their season closed from my buddy that guides up there. And sells his dogs after season to move on to the next group. Man am I glad he did. Skeeter got off the transport at midnight here last December and qe left at 2pm and headed straight to Iowa. He pointed his first covey of wild Quail in less than 20 minutes. He also retrieved some snow geese out there for me. He has pointed and retrieved lots if wild pheasants with me in Kansas and Iowa. Hes the total package dog. But hes miserable here with all these girls in heat. Im not gonna breed him. So its a disservice for him to be miserable for months and only get to hunt a little. Hes a house dog. Great in the house and with other dogs. Ive had him with lots of other dogs. Male and female. And hes never acted sideways whatsoever. Now if you have a pet possum..... it wont be safe. Hes had correction for chasing chickens. But the dog is very birdy. I love the dog enough to do the right thing by him. He will make someone an incredible dog. He is akc registered. Up to date on all vaccinations. Heart work tested clear. Very smart. But cannot be outside unless the pen has a top. Hes an escape artist. Lol like most Brittanys. Hes beautiful and sweet. He will turn 2 years old in September this year. So hes still a young gun. His point is gorgeous. His whoa is perfect. I sure hate to get rid of him. But its definitely the best thing for him.
