We purchased our first GSP from Creekwood Kennels, and she is the type of dog that makes you want to get another. She has the right balance of mild temperament and high prey drive, while being intelligent and very trainable. She fit seamlessly into our lifestyle, plays well with other dogs, is gentle with children, and was in excellent health when we picked her up. We took her hunting for the first time when she was only 6 months old - she has no gun shyness and was able to retrieve her first bird on her first hunt with minimal training. People say that she is one of the most beautiful dogs they have ever seen and cannot believe that she is only 9 months old because of how obedient she is. We would highly recommend Creekwood and Lane Bowman.
We have purchased 2 dogs from this breeder within the last 9 years and are beyond satisfied. Not only are they great hunters/retrievers, but also wonderful family members- companions. Our 9 year old even behaves like a service dog to my husband and alerts him to emergencies. They are both well mannered and able to be calm indoors.
We have the youngest one boarded at Cours Retrievers for obedience and hunting training. The owner of Cours spoke highly of this breeder, stating that she has had several of his dogs and they have all excelled in training. She went so far as to say that both their dogs temperament and physique is superior to most breeders shes seen and that she enjoys training them. This is a multi generational breeder who truly takes pride in producing the best of the breed.
I purchased my female GSP from Creekwood Kennels in December 2023. She is now 6 months old, and we absolutely adore her. When I have her out in public, I get so many compliments on her roan and tick markings and her friendliness. I really liked being able to pick my own puppy online since I live 13 hours away from this breeder. Once I made my deposit my puppys photo was taken down, but Lane kept me posted with photos via text as she got bigger. This is a family run business, very personable with phone calls and text, the buying process was very easy, and I was provided with all her paperwork and shot records. I would highly recommend this kennel!
Highly recommend! Beautiful dogs and you can pick your pup online versus paying a large kennel to pick based off of when your deposit is received. I purchased a liver and roan GSP female in December 2023 and we absolutely adore her! She is full of energy, born to hunt and a great family dog that gets along well with my other dogs! I drove 13 hours to purchase my GSP from Creekwood and very pleased with the entire process!
