NOTE ON THE PRICE - The reason our price is higher than many breeders is we keep out litters a full 12 weeks, which allows us the time to better prepare them for their transition to a new home. This price also includes two sets of shots, two physical exams, eye exam and certification, tail and due claw docking, ID Chip, and AKC Registration. Also, read about our Prepared Puppy Approach at the end of this ad. The training includes: Recall and Hup Trained, Place Board Trained, Short Retrieves Trained. Kennel and Home Trained. Initial Whistle Training. Masters Voice Gun Fire Conditioning. Water, Live and Dead Bird (quail) Exposure, Puppy Field Walks, People and Dog Socialized. Additionally, full genetic testing was done of both the sire and dam to ensure there was no indicated defects.

We call this pairing the Dynamic Duo because their AKC Hunt Test progress and hunting experience for a variety of waterfowl and upland game birds in various terrain and cover from New Hampshire to Arkansas have been in parallels.

Fionn shares all of the biddability traits of the Crosswinds and Salmy lines with numerous field champions and master hunters in his pedigree. He is equally capable hunting upland and waterfowl as well as passing hunt tests. A methodical hunter he quickly covers ground not missing cover that might hold birds.

Misty also has an exceptional pedigree with Prairie Rose and Salmy lines with numerous field champion and master hunter titles within it. She is a dynamo in the field pushing and wiggling her way through the thickest cover with joy and energy. She too is equally capable hunting upland and waterfowl as well as passing hunt tests.

Both have proven they have the stamina and drive to hunt for extended periods in all types of cover and weather. At days end and when not afield they both are loving in the home and comfortable as part of a larger pack just playing and enjoying life. Both have superior noses and great marking abilities. If you look at the Youtube videos you will see these traits and abilities.

We have developed our line to be both wonderful companions for the home and outstanding hunters in the field. Along with the numerous dogs in their four generation pedigree with many AKC titles and awards there are Hall of Fame placements as well. For these reasons we believe this litter will be exceptional. The Prepared Puppy Approach
Our prepared puppy approach begins by focusing on four critical elements of the initial individual and social learning, and modeling processes instinctive in a canine:

1. Developing positive learning motivation drivers through re-enforcing a puppy’s internal desire to learn by displaying behaviors that will get them rewards. In our case the rewards will be treats, play and praise, or bird related fun.

2. Developing self-control so a puppy’s ability to learn extends to inhibiting typical instinctive reactive responses. “Hup” is constantly used (at dinner, at the door, at play) to begin the development of the all-important “steadying.” The “Short Pip” whistle command will follow as soon as “Hup” is learned. This first step leads to a pup that will remain calm and steady when tempted by distraction.

3. Developing core behaviors so a puppy so a pup is ready to more easily transition to their forever home and later begin their gun dog training. This includes, house training, bathing, traversing stairs, crate training, recall, retrieving, Masters Voice gunfire conditioning, gamebirds (quail) and swimming.

4. Developing socialization and adaptation skills by experiencing a number of new and strange environments in a positive and supportive manner. This leads to calm disposition desired in a companion hunter and the ability to adjust when they encounter a new environment be it with people, other dogs, terrain, weather or even game birds they are not familiar with hunting.
