This dog is out of our breeding and one we kept as a potential Field Trial dog. Unfortunately, his range just isnt big enough for horseback trials and therefore we have decided to put him up for discussion.
He spent this past summer with us at summer camp in North Dakota working wild pheasant, sharp-tailed grouse, and huns. He did extremely well with them and has a natural ability to locate and work a running pheasant.
He has a natural retrieve and will retrieve to within a step or two every time and to hand after being commanded to. Due to our intentions of developing him for field trials, I have invested no time in refining his retrieve but having trained 9 of his littermates (all of which ended up retrieving to hand), Im certain, it wont take much.
The Bitch side of her pedigree consists primarily of German dogs with her Grand-Sire having been imported directly from Germany.
The Sire is a campaigning GSPCA field trail Champion who is being trained and handled by Dan Dimambro.
