Jasper is a great all-around dog that not only tests well, but also has major success as a hunting dog! He got his VC last year and has 3 passes towards his AKC Master Hunter at just 3 years old. I have hunted him in North and South Dakota chasing sharptail and prairie chickens, Iowa pheasants and Minnesota pheasants and grouse. He hunts the country you put him in, runs wider on the prairie, and tightens up in the heavy cover. Jasper does well in the duck boat for those early morning duck hunts and has no issue retrieving ducks from early to late season here in Minnesota. He has been an easy dog to train and handles extremely well. He is well mannered in the house and quiet in the kennel.
