With part of our family living in Germany, we are making the most of it by always learning more about the Vielseitig Jagdhund or known in America as the Versatile Hunting Dog! By integrating these bloodlines we are building a better breed that can do it all! Including but not limited to field work, forest work, water work, retrieving as well as blood tracking. All of our dogs are born family dogs first. The hands that reach for them in the whelping box are hands of love. As the next few weeks go by, we strive to find each dogs potential and work with that feeling to help each dog and its destiny. Each dog that leaves our ranch is a well balanced, emotionally fit and happy dog. We pride ourselves in this!

Welcome to Bravo Whiskey Shorthairs! We are Dave and Denise Penn. We own and operate a small farm in southern Missouri. Our stud and dams are our pets, they are loved and well cared for. We train our dogs for basic commands, and we also train them to bird hunt upland birds here in Missouri, Kansas and South Dakota. We wanted to become breeders of German Shorthair Pointers (GSPs) and share the dogs with others who have the same passion and love of dogs as we do. What started simply with Dave getting a GSP from a local breeder in Colorado in 2017 who was well known for breeding good lines of bird hunting dogs. Our interest in bird hunting turned us onto a talented gun dog trainer and eventually a wonderful group of bird hunting dog loving folks we met in Colorado and Kansas. We moved to southern Missouri that had some incredible wooded property to build our future farm. And thanks to some good friends we also sired our stud out which changed our interests from not only hunting GSPs but also breeding. We learned more about the breed and eventually raised 3 dam’s of our own. We now have a small group of outstanding dogs and Dave and I will have our hands full with puppy litters several times a year.
