Danner Sharptail Hunting Boot Review
This is my review of the Danner Sharptail 8” GORE-TEX hunting boots. The day I received these boots in the mail and opened the box, my wife walked into the room. She immediately saw the Danner box and started telling me, for the fifth time, about how she used to sell shoes at an outdoor adventure store in Nashville and how they sent her to some special class to learn about all about boots. I hadn’t even gotten the boots out of the box yet, and she’s telling me that Danner makes the best boots, bar none. I waited until she finished her story and left the room before taking the boots out of the boxes so I could form my own opinion. My first impression upon removing the boots from the box was how well built they looked and felt. The boots were sturdy and stiff like tiny little Sherman tanks for your feet.

CHAMPION WHEELYBIRD AUTO-FEED TRAP REVIEW
I've had my eye on this electronic clay thrower for a few years. Browsing the sporting goods section of the local Walmart, I'd see this unit sitting in the store's back corner. I've debated buying it several times in the past but always talked myself out of it. I have a hand thrower and a manual spring load trap that I've used for years. The problem with these is you have to have a partner tag along to use them. Coordinating with someone else is not always the most convenient when you're just looking for a quick tune-up. The manual trap I own does have a trigger that you can attach a string to, so it can be released from a distance, but this has never worked well for me, and you still wouldn't be able to release and shoot your own targets. Since all my kids have flown the coup, I was looking for a way to practice shooting before bird season without needing help. It's probably not advisable to go shooting by yourself, but the main reason I purchased this thrower was in the hopes I could release and shoot targets on my own. I also picked up one of the Wheelybird Wireless Remotes, although the foot pedal would have been easy enough to operate. Now, I can move around without a tether, so I can get a look at different shots without adjusting or moving the machine.

Start by researching a breeder specializing in the hunting dog breed you're interested in, such as the English Pointer, Labrador Retriever, or Cocker Spaniel. Seek recommendations from experienced hunters, trainers, or local hunting clubs who might have firsthand knowledge about the breeder.

If you place a Classified ad on Gundog Central, as sure as the sun rises, you'll eventually be contacted by a scammer trying to get you to bite on a money order scam. It might sound frightening, but you have nothing to worry about if you know that to look for. I've been dealing with these scams on Gundog Central for over a decade now. These scams aren't isolated to Gundog Central but every classified website on the internet were members list items for sale. There will always be some lazy idiot out there trying to trick you out of your hard-earned money. Unfortunately, when someone does fall for these scams, it's not only the anonymous con artist that looks bad, but also the website where the transaction took place. I do everything I can to monitor, block and report these people to the right authorizes. That alone isn't enough, so I want to make sure everyone knows what to look out for and how to deal with these people
Tip #1 - Dont post all your ads at the once, spread them out over time.
This is one biggest mistake I see people repeatedly making on the site. I'm all for you posting every single one of your dogs and puppies on Gundog Central, I just think it's a bad idea to dump them all on the site at the exact same time. I see people who have a litter of puppies they want to sell, so they'll post one ad for each puppy ... all on the same day. Great idea, right? It increases your exposure, lets everyone see the different puppies you have and kind of monopolies the front page with just your dogs. Wrong, not only is it poor online etiquette, because it forces a massive amount of other people's classifieds way down the page, but it's just poor, lazy marketing.
