Eight years ago, I bought a Drathaar girl from Jeff and Wanda. Heike has been the most loving dog a person could ever have. She is so good with my grandchildren and last year when my wife got a corgi, she cared for that pup like a momma dog. She has been used for hunting grouse, woodcock, pheasant and quail.
Unfortunately, she came down with a medical condition that requires daily medicine. Heike is slowing down, so I was considering another pup later on.
Over the years, I have stayed in contact with Jeff and Wanda. I was commenting on their latest litter and spoke with Jeff. Due to Heikes medical condition, they decided to graciously present me with a nice little female pup.
This was such a surprise. I am so grateful for their generosity.
Jeff and Wanda are the type of breeders that a person would want to deal with. Not only did they sell me a pup 8 years ago, we stayed in contact, and kept track of my hunting trips and my dogs condition.
I highly recommend Jeff and Wanda Green as a breeder and kennel owner.

I purchased a puppy from Jeff and Wanda’s first litter. It was my first experience with Drahthaars. Jeff and Wanda went way beyond expectations. Jeff was always available to answer the thousands of questions I had and even helped me train for The DD tests (VJP,HZP, VGP). Jeff is VERY knowledgeable and always willing to help, even with dogs that are not from his kennel. We have stayed in touch and he still offers me advice on dog training. I would highly recommend Jeff and Wanda. Perhaps their best attribute is the help they provide AFTER you bring the puppy home. You won’t regret getting a puppy from Jeff and Wanda.

I got to meet Jeff and his family when I was 14 years old, Im 35 now and he is the main reason I got into bird hunting. I was lucky enough to get his first puppy out of his first litter and another one out of his second litter. Some of the best dogs I have hunted around came from this breeder. Not only will you get a puppy from Jeff you get all his years of knowledge of this breed and the training to make your dog what you want it to be and more. Jeff was always there for me and my dogs and ended being really good friends through the years. I would recommend Jeff to anyone looking into this breed for their hunting companion.

I met Jeff 15 years ago when I needed some help with training my first DD. He went above and beyond to make sure my dog was ready for her first test. I knew then my next DD would come from vom Schlussstein. That time came in 2015 with their J litter. I couldnt be happier with the performance and temperament of our DD. She was the perfect hunting dog addition to our growing family. Jeff(and Wanda) run a great breeding program and have become our good friends through their dedication to the breed and owners.
