Update: WE have one boy available and he is exhibiting pointing instinct already. Also a very balanced and easy to train personality. Id keep him myself but as Im retiring Mocha I need to keep this line going with another female pup/future DAM.
Been breeding choc versatile hunting LABs for 15 years. You wont find better chocolate gun dogs on the west coast.
Otter, is a champion in the field. Strong natural point. Runs hard on marks, blinds and drills. Has qualified 4 years in a row for Triple Crown. He is producing puppies that are easy to train by the amateur. He is also a lovely house dog.
Dam: Matteos Mistletoe Mocha (Tycho daughter)
This is Mochas 4th time being a Dam. I was begged by former puppy owners of Mocha AND her dam(Mia) to do this one last time before we take a break and move out of state. Her puppies are crushing it in the field. One works as a chosen gun dog for a professional guide at an upscale hunt resort in Oregon. Another destroys the competition in field trials. Families tell me pups of Mocha and Mia(Mochas dam) are the smartest, most empathetic Labs they’ve ever known. I hear about pups from previous litters are making weekends really satisfying for their human hunting mates. Mocha tends to throw natural pointing instinct and insane fetch drive and stamina. Thanks to both her dam’s and sire’s genes. Sire is GHRCH 4XGMPR UH Tycho MH.
You hear the term “on/off switch” thrown around a lot. Mocha has that nice “off” switch in that she like to curl up on her dog bed, but it’s her domestic intelligence that really makes life with her so nice. She doesn’t steal food or clamber over furniture or jump on house guests. I don’t even remember having to train her not to… she just GOT IT!
